When we launched Chic Riot, it started with a simple mission: create motorcycle gear that truly fits, protects, and empowers women riders. For years, every jacket, every pair of pants, and every custom piece has been, cut, stitched, and crafted with intention. That level of craftsmanship is part of our DNA.
But as the brand grows, so does the reality: handmaking each piece limits how many women we can serve, and it restricts how far we can take the movement we’ve built together.
we want to share with everyone that Chic Riot is exploring the shift from handmade to fully manufactured gear.
Not because we want to lose our soul, but because we want to scale our impact.
Chic Riot has been on an incredible upward climb. Your support, your stories, your rides, and your feedback have shaped who we’ve become. More women than ever are discovering the brand, and the demand for size-inclusive, female-focused, customizable gear is exploding.
But as this demand grows, so does the pressure on our small, handcrafted system. Making every item ourselves has been great and we love it but it’s also slow, labor-intensive, and ultimately a bottleneck. If we want Chic Riot to become a true leader in women’s motorcycle gear, we need a system that lets us scale without compromising quality and manufacturing is the next logical and necessary step.
Finding the Right Manufacturing Partner
Transitioning into manufacturing isn’t as simple as picking a place and placing an order. We’re looking for a partner who aligns with the values that built Chic Riot:
Sustainability:
We’re committed to sustainable practices, minimizing waste, and crafting gear that lasts. Many mass manufacturers cut corners, but we won’t work with anyone who does.
Quality & Craftsmanship:
Our handmade roots have taught us what attention to detail truly looks like. Any partner we choose has to meet that standard, not dilute it.
Responsible Use of Materials:
We’re focused on environmentally conscious materials, ethical labor, and reducing unnecessary waste in the production process. We’d rather stay small than work with someone who treats workers or materials as disposable.
This search is ongoing and we’re being picky. Your safety and our integrity are far too important to rush.
This Isn’t Guaranteed
We want to be honest, this transition to manufacturing isn’t a sure thing, not yet.
To make this leap, we need full funding and securing that level of investment is not easy for a small, independent, women-led brand. We’re exploring different avenues, pushing every angle, and doing everything we can to make this happen, but the reality is: it’s a challenge.
In addition to funding, we’re looking to bring someone new onto the Chic Riot team. Someone who understands business growth, sales, and scaling so the two of us who built this from scratch can take Chic Riot further than we ever could alone. Finding the right person, who believes in our mission and fits our values, is another major piece of the puzzle.
We want this transition. We’re fighting for it.
But we also want to be transparent, if we can’t secure the funding or the right support, the future of Chic Riot becomes uncertain. Growing a small brand into a major contender isn’t guaranteed. But we believe the women who ride deserve this gear, and that belief drives every decision we make.
For a small, woman-driven brand, stepping into full manufacturing is a massive leap. It means bigger production runs, consistent sizing and increased inventory and more availability for riders around the world. Growing from a boutique shop into a true industry contender is scary but It’s exciting. And honestly? It’s time.
Chic Riot wasn’t created just to exist; we were created to change the landscape for women riders.
Growing into manufacturing means being able to finally compete with names like Icon, Bell, and Alpine Stars. Not by becoming them, but by proving there’s space for a brand that centers women, sustainability, and true rider-focused design.
What Won’t Change
Even with manufacturing, here’s what you’ll always get with Chic Riot: Our rider-first design philosophy, our commitment to quality, size inclusivity, sustainability and gear shaped by real women riders, not a boardroom
We’re not stepping away from who we are. We’re stepping toward who we’re becoming.
This next chapter is huge for us, and we want you to be part of every step. Whether you’ve been with us since day one or you’re just discovering Chic Riot, your voice matters in how we grow.
We don’t want to just scale a business; we want to scale a movement.
We’re hopeful, we’re determined, and we’re fighting to make this transition happen. But we’re also honest enough to say: we don’t know exactly how this will unfold.
What we do know is this, we’ll give it everything we’ve got.
Here’s to bigger rides, bolder growth, and a future where women’s motorcycle gear isn’t an afterthought, it’s a standard.
The road ahead is wide open and we hope you’ll ride it with us.
